Voce concorda??

You don't get to pick and choose what parts of a sentence to quote. I said, about the iPod:

"It's a music player, not a telephone system, a computer OS, oil, gas, or anything else that's actually important to the infrastructure of the nation."

Millions of computers that run vital systems across the world run Windows. Show me ONE vital system that's being run off an iPod. THAT is my point. Maybe your local community college can help you out with a reading comprehension course.

There's nothing more pathetic than someone who assumes that because someone defends Apple against stupidity that they must be a blind fanboy. I'm not. Nothing about what I said says anything about me personally, and everything I said is truthful and accurate in the context in which it was written. The iPhone does not claim 30% of the worldwide mobile phone market - http://techcrunch.com/2010/05/... - but even if they did, they are still the minority.

Adobe is not a competitor. They don't made a phone or an OS that could run on the iPhone hardware. For Apple to say that they don't want certain companies to play in their playground isn't anti-competitive, though it is rather dickish. You mentioned Microsoft, so I won't point out the hypocrisy people like you have when you complain about practices that Microsoft engaged in that you let slide while you're now bitching about Apple doing the same (oops, just did). As for Java, so what? The Mac has even less market share than the iPhone, and Apple is well within its rights to control their App store as they see fit. If people don't like it, they don't have to use it. Hell, the new app store isn't even the only option for installing software on a Mac, so what, exactly, are you complaining about?

Apple isn't saintly. But they are neither as awesome as their fanboys make them out to be nor as evil as YOU make them out to be. I hope YOU realize that bashing Apple (as is trendy these days) and insulting millions of its customers doesn't make YOU look cool either... it makes you look like a tool.
